How Paul Used Our Products
I bought this car 8 months ago, the car was a 1 owner from new with 32,000 on the clock but had sat on the driveway for most of its life, and as a result the car was covered in green moss & leaves.
When I got the car home I started off by removing all plastic trims to clean behind with Megs APC and Hyper Wash. All wheels were removed and wheel arches using APC and wheels cleaned with Autoglym alloy wheel cleaner.
I then over the next 2-4 weeks removed the bumpers, side skirts, and any other trim simply to clean the car! Over the winter the car was left in the garage where I worked on the engine replacing every nut and bolt! and also removing all other items such as air box, inlet manifold, rocker cover, radiator, headlights, fan, pulleys etc to clean. Over the past 2 months I have worked on the car, firstly I clayed it using sonus clay, and then machine polished using 3M polishes and pads (green, yellow, blue and finishing off with pink lids). Next Was time to protect the finish, dodo juice lime prime was applied and then 10 layers of dodo juice supernatural was applied over 48 hours.
All trims and bumpers where now re-fitted to the car and dressed with Autoglym bumper care. The Final part of this project was to replace the wheels with a set of Genuine Bmw 17" BBS Split Rims. I Bought the wheels in very poor condition, the usual corrosion on the rim and rusted bolts. I split the wheels and had the professionally lips re-polished and the bolts where cleaned and re-chromed.
I then re assembled the wheels and fitted brand new tyres. This has been my first project; I bought the car at age 16. My dad has been in the BMW car club for 10 years and I was looking for a car to take to shows my self and enter into concourse events, the first one is in a couple of weeks.
