How Alex Used Our Products

My car is a 2009 BMW 320d M-Sport saloon in Space Grey.

I have had the car for around 3 years, washed weekly without fail and fully detailed around 4 times a year. This time I gave the car a good clean and wax ready for the winter months, will top up between washes with Zaino Z8 Grand Finale.

The cleaning process was as follows:

Rinsed and washed the car - using the two bucket method, with Dodo Juice Born to Be Mild Shampoo and Meguiar’s Lambswool Wash Mitt.

Alloy wheels cleaned using Dodo Juice Ferrous Dueller Iron Remover to draw out the particles from the wheels. Left this to dwell and using the Valet Pro Wheel Brush and soapy water cleaned the wheels fully.

Lightly dried the car - not fully though, left some water on to aid claying, using Dodo Juice Soft Touch Drying Towel.

Worked round the car removing any tar spots or grime using Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover. Working 1 panel at a time I sprayed on Autoglym Rapid Detailer and worked with Bilt-Hamber Soft Clay removing spray with an UF Microfibre Cloth.

Next I moved on to cleaning the paintwork using the Autoglym HD Cleaner Kit, again a small section at a time with the HD Cleaner and the foam pads supplied, removing the residue using a Microfibre Cloth supplied in the kit. Once this was done the car was rinsed off and dried with the Dodo Juice Soft Touch Drying Towel.

Decided to use Meguiar’s Ultra Cut 105 Compound and worked it by hand using Meguiar’s Soft Touch Applicator Pads that worked well, and buffed off residue using another UF Microfibre Cloth.

The car paintwork was waxed using Autoglym HD Wax and applied using the foam pads that come with the kit. The wax was left on the car while I did the rest of the detailing as follows:

Interior Hoovered throughout and internal trim dressed using Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care, applied using UF Microfibre Cloth.

Glass cleaned inside and out using Dodo Juice Clearly Menthol Glass Cleaner and the Dodo Juice Mint Merkin Glass Cloth.

Alloy Wheels sealed using Autoglym Alloy Wheel Seal.

Tyres dressed using Meguiar’s Endurance Tyre Gel and Meguiar’s Foam Applicator Pad.

All exterior rubber trim around doors / windows etc. dressed with Autoglym Bumper & Trim Gel to give the wet black look.

Exhaust trim cleaned up and polished using Autoglym Metal polish and an old Microfibre Cloth.

Back to the car paintwork and wax:

The wax was left on for around a hour and was buffed off using a UF Microfibre Cloth, followed by a final going over using a Dodo Juice Fantastic Fur Microfibre Buffing Cloth.

Overall on completion the car looks fantastic, the paint has a deep shine to it, pleased with the results.

Thanks..
