How Michael Used Our Products
My transporter was purchased from a hire company, the condition of the clear coat was appalling, it looked like, it was cleaned with sharp sand, previous user was a builder with no sense of pride or cleaning abilities, when I purchased the transporter I set to work on the paint work, started with fall out remover and let that do its magic then covered with foam then rinsed thoroughly, then proceeded to dry off with drying towels, once dry I set to work with panel wipe to remove any wax that might have been used when cleaned for sale, once cleaned out came the polishers and cutting compounds, started with FG400 with 150mm cutting pad (orange) once I had used the FG400 all over which took me 10 hrs but I am no professional and took my time for the first cut as worried about burning through the clear coat, but no problem as the Menzerna works like magic and virtually no dust if any at all, then cleaned with gtec panel wipe to remove any residue of the FG400.
Next step, back on the Spin Doctor, first change cutting pad to a new one, no change still on orange,(sorry all, so forgot to mention that I lubed pads first with Chemical guys pad lube) so once pad lubed up added four pea sized amount of Menzerna 2500 and repeat first steps, Menzerna 2500 really puts a shine on it but could not get rid of marring, so put a wax pad on colour black then repeated all the steps again, but this time using Menzerna 3500 super finish and left me with a deep shine that you could fall, into.
Polishing done, wow 28 hours and so much satisfaction Love it, now using Dodo Juice pre wax cleaner Lime Prime all over and this gave a deeper shine and easy on and off, but only use a couple of pea sized on applicator, as goes a long way, so now on to waxing, or should I say applied the Black Hole Show Car Glaze, then on to the wax Poorboys Nattys Blue applied this then the shine was incredible and finished with Menzerna detail spray to remove any finger prints or dust, this also sealed in the wax for longer protection, wheels cleaned with nutty blue wax but used fall out remover first, from gtec, always use the best microfibre cloths for all your polishing, I like the Meguiar’s or Dodo Juice ones, glass cleaned with Autoglym cream great stuff, interior I used Mr Sheen polish as I love the smell.
I had purchased quite a lot of gear and have used it all over time, but the ones listed above in description I found to be one of the best, so get on it and have a great time making it shine.
