How Phil Used Our Products
Introducing the freshly detailed 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300SL
Karcher jet wash for a head start...then washed with Autoglym shampoo using the twin-bucket technique.
Lightly used the Karcher again, then water taken off with slightly damped Autoglym micro-fibre cloths.
Onto the wheels with Custom Wheel cleaner. Needed two good goes with this, as well as an old toothbrush between the fiddly 21 holes on the edge.
Clay-barred using Bilt-hamber clay (Only water needed to lubricate), then wiped residue down with basic Microfibre cloths once more.
From this point on, I work on one panel at a time to concentrate my efforts.
First Meguiars Ultimate Compound is used to remove light scuffs, fading and paint swirls with a two stage polisher. Once removed, I apply Autoglym High Definition Wax using the damp applicator pads. Buffed off using the polishing machine. Then the Ultra Deep Shine polish is applied, followed by the Super Resin Polish before a final coating of Extra Gloss Protection.
Finally the Autoglym Bumper and Trim Gel, followed by Brasso on the shiny bits and voila! A Mercedes-Benz R107 that looks a lot more expensive than it did 3 hours earlier!
