How Bob Used Our Products
I bought my 2012 Jaguar XF S last month and I couldn't wait to detail it. The car looked great inside and out but I could see swirls in the paint and the texture was rough. I set to work, firstly hoovering the interior carpets and wiping down the dashboard, centre console and door cards, finishing off with Gliptone leather treatment to the seats. Leaves a lovely leather smell inside!
The exterior was snowfoamed using Codeclean Decontaminate snow foam on my Nilfisk pressure washer. The car was rinsed and washed with Gyeon Q2M bathe shampoo using two bucket method and grit guards. Wheels were treated with Korrosol and washed using a separate bucket of water and Autosmart SmartWheels with a wheel woolie and mitt. Once I had finished washing the body work, I snowfoamed again and used the Codeclean clay mitt to remove the tar and other deposits embedded into the paint. This was particularly satisfying. Once I had done the whole car, (a mitt is so much better than a clay bar especially on a car of this size) I snowfoamed one last time and rinsed. This was to ensure the car was as clean as it could be for polish stage.
Firstly, I treated the small scratches and swirls using Zaino Fusion swirl remover and by hand gently removed marks on the bonnet and roof. I then layered polishes on the bodywork, my favourite polish is Zaino Z-5. I also had a sample polish to try from Phat Detailing called Deep Polish Bruv. This was layered on top of the Z-5 and between layers of polish I use Zaino Z-6 to lock in the shine and protection. I am a massive Zaino fan and already we were getting another level of shine. After polish the car was sealed with R222 Carnauba wax and Zaino Z-8 spray sealant on top. Exhausts polished with Autosol, windows cleaned with Fast Glass, plastic trim and tyres coated with Auto Finesse Revive. Wheels polished with Deep Polish Bruv and Phat Detailing's Seal to the Max sealant. Once finished the car looked stunning, I finished about 5 minutes to Dark O'clock!
