How Bob Used Our Products
This is our Seat Leon FR, named Slimer. we bought Slimer brand new a year ago and the car has only ever been washed by myself, no dealer prep was applied when we bought the car. One year on and it was overdue a detail. I started the night before with the interior. After a good hoover and shampoo of the seats, plastics cleaned with Auto Finesse Spritz and then dressed with CSP Prestige Interior Dressing to provide a matt OEM finish layer of protection to the interior. Then the car was ready to be snowfoamed using Valet Pro Citrus Prewash as I find this a really good snow foam / pre cleaner. I used a brush around the badges and plastics to loosen dirt. My wife is a Zookeeper so this car gets filthy a lot!
Washed using 2 bucket method UF buckets + grit guards to minimise abrasion and a Gyeon Q2M Mitt. Wheels cleaned with Bilberry wheel cleaner and a wheel brush, then treated with Korrosol to remove any contaminants. Bodywork was also treated with GTechniq W7 and W8 to remove contaminants in the paint before the car was snowfoamed again after the first wash and then clayed using the snowfoam as a lubricant. Once fully decontaminated the car was dried using an In2Detailing large towel, wheels dried with a microfibre to leave a shiny silver finish.
Door shuts cleaned and engine bay wiped down and protected the plastics with CSP Prestige Interior Dressing. Car was inspected with lights to see swirls and I found none at all. Pretty pleased considering only I've washed the car, plus VAG paint is pretty tough. I used CSP No3 Ultra Perfection polish on a white Hexlogic pad on my Rupes LHR15ES polisher to buff up the Lima Green paint. Gloss black pillars corrected with Hexlogic Orange pad + CSP No1. Car was panel wiped using U-Pol and then I applied CSP Finest Grade Carnauba Wax. Windows cleaned with Swissvax Crystal glass cleaner, windscreen also protected with CSP Nano to provide a slick hydophobic protection layer meaning rain water beads off. Tyres dressed with Swissvax Pneu.
Took me a day and half to get it right, the wife was very pleased too!
