How Andy Used Our Products
OK here is my 10 year old RenaultSport Clio 172 which was given a pre power jet wash using a Karcher 6.50 including wheel arches and the sills.
Next I power washed the wheels and then soaked the car with a car plan wash and wax and water mix from the Karcher. Whilst soaking i sprayed the wheels with Autoglym clean wheels and cleaned them using Unitex Microfibre Cloths.
Next stage was to wash the car using car plan wash and wax, Meguiars Lambswool Wash Mitt and 2 Meguiars Bucket & Grit Guard Set (one labeled wash and one rinse) in straight lines so as not to add any swirls.
The car was then dried with Dodo Juice Fantastic Fur Microfibre Buffing Cloth and Unitex Microfibre Cloths to get into the nooks and crannies with the edge of the cloth to soak up the remaining water, to prevent any remaining water running.
Next was Meguiars Quik Clay Detailing System along with Meguiars Quik Detailer – Exterior and using Unitex Microfibre Cloths to remove any residue.
The car was then masked up with Scotch 3434 Blue High Performance Tape - 25mm.
Out came Meguiars Ultimate Compound, Meguiars G220 Dual Action Polisher and Meguiars Mirror Glaze Soft Buff 2.0 Foam Finishing Pad and the car was given a very good going over removing any swirling.
Next came Autoglym High Definition Wax which was removed with Autoglym Hi-Tech Finishing Cloth.
With the car looking spanking it was just left to the finishing touches with the wheels getting Turtle Wax Extreme Wax for Wheels and Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing.
Black bits being restored using Silver Nova Restore the Black. And the windscreen getting the Rain-X Rain Repellent treatment.
The process spread over 2 days with no corners cut meaning that the 10 year old 172 looked even better than the day it left the dealers!
