Ford RS500 Cosworth - Part One
Having only recently acquired this classic 1980's RS500 the new owner was keen to get it looking the part.
As with many enthusiast's cars it arrived at the UF Detailing Studio looking better than many brand new cars.
However the brief was to get the RS500 absolutely show-ready. This is far more in-depth and intensive than a normal paintwork correction and would require a full 5 days to complete.

The first stage was to ensure a thorough decontamination including removal of the wheels to get right inside the arches and at the back of the OZ wheels. Even the underside of the car was cleaned.
After careful washing and drying using a combination of drying towels and an air blower it was time to work on the engine.
The individual components were all treated using a degreaser and then cleaned by hand ... more info & pics
