At last…….a machine that really delivers
I very rarely write reviews, mainly because most products are either slightly disappointing or do as expected. In the case of the BigBoi Washr Pro this is most definitely not so. I’ve been detailing my own cars for more than 20 years, after being paid pocket money to wash my dad’s Ford Escort back in the early 80’s. I have tried hundreds of different car care products along the way. In particular, I have been through a lot of pressure washers - from the ubiquitous ‘yellow’ brand to claimed ‘pro’ models, with claims of long-lifespans, powerful, quiet, etc. In every case they have either failed in short order (pump seals or motors outside of warranty) been underpowered, noisy, leaked or just generally not built for regular use.
I bought the Big Boi in the hope that it might be different. After using the machine over the last few weeks I have to say that so far it has been brilliant. The packaging and attention to detail upon unboxing is impressive. The assembly is so simple with snap fittings that all work and do not leak.
Be aware that this is a heavy unit, at around 30kg; a shock compared to others. It is not built for wheeling about. As with any washer, it really comes down to performance and ease of use. In both cases the BigBoi is outstanding. It is extremely quiet; you can barely hear it running. It is very powerful (even compared with a commercial unit claiming >3,000psi). The interchangeable heads and adjustable pressure mean this really is a versatile unit.
I am hopeful that the build quality will mean many years of service; time will tell. It is a pleasure to use and I would recommend without question – even given the significant price.
