The Two Bucket Method.
It's easy to put swirl marks into your paintwork during the wash process. The two bucket method greatly reduces this risk.
Fill one bucket with the soapy wash water and one with clean water. Dunk your wash mitt, rub over the grit guard and wash over the vehicle. Then dunk the mitt into the clean rinse water, rubbing the mitt over the grit guard, separating any trapped grit particles from your wash mitt allowing them to sink to the bottom of the bucket. Squeeze out your mitt and you're ready to go again!

Previous to purchase I had been using the 'Two Bucket Method' to reduce the amount of grit that I get caught up with during the contact wash stage and had always still ended up with the odd bit of grit floating about.
I used it for the first time today and it's excellent. I barely got anything transferred into the soap bucket and I tipped the water away gently after to see how much grit it had caught... LOTS!
