How Leigh Used Our Products
When I bought this car second hand in 2012 it was in great overall condition. However, there is always room for improvement when it comes to detailing so last summer I set about correcting some defects in the paint.
Firstly I used a Dodo Clay Bar with Born Slippy Lube all over the car, paying particular attention to the lower parts of the doors where years of tar and other debris had built up. Remaining tar spots were removed using Autoglym intensive tar remover before moving on.
Next, I mopped the car using the Autoglym paint pro system. This was my first attempt at machine polishing a car, but I was happy with the results achieved. I used a rather large and heavy rotary polisher from Silverline tools which did the job, but it was very tiring. Finally, the corrected paint was treated to a coat of Autoglym's HD wax for a silky smooth finish. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. It is fantastic value for money and will totally transform a car.
Finishing touches include polishing the glass and applying a coat of bumper gel to the plastic trim. I think you will agree the car looks fantastic for a 7 year old motor!!
