How Paul Used Our Products
Purchased second hand with a rather poor paint finish due to previous owner Mitsubishi UK staff car preferring to use the car wash rather than doing it by hand. Car was put through BCA to dispose of due to poor paintwork/mileage. Despite the Tanzanite Pearlescent paint finish which I personally love.
Car was treasure washed and washed with strong traffic film/tar remover and dried. Then following Autoglym instructions for Renovate System using their foam pads with Paint Pro Renovate first to remove the millions of scratches, three applications doing a section at a time until each panel was finished and using standard dusters to remove the remaining film prior to applying the second treatment Paint Pro Renovate Refine. Again with three passes at the speeds recommended. There is a very good video on this site and Autoglym site which demonstrated the process and stages which was very useful as I have never used a product like this before. The surface was buffed up with Autoglym Hi-Tech Finishing Cloth to a nice shine. We then applied the Autoglym Super Resin Polish to the whole car then buffed up with lambs wool bonnet before the next stage. We then cleaned all the rubber and plastics with Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care which was also used to clean the interior. Alone with the interior leather which was cleaned with Autoglym Leather Care Balm.
Finally Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection was applied and left for an hour before final buffing up. One of the final jobs was to polish the wheels which were clean at the washing stage with Autoglym Custom Wheel Cleaner, and Polished with Autoglym Resin Polish, and then Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection. Lastly we cleaned all the Glass with Autoglym Fast Glass.
The final finish was amazing compared to millions of scratches we achieved a near perfect showroom finish restoring the car to its original condition. As this was the first time I have ever used a buffer and Autoglym's Paint Pro system with their pads I was really impressed with the finish and how easy it was. I have been buying their products for the last 35 years and used them on my Car, Caravan and Boat to great effect. It really was the Ultimate Finish for me and buying the products from Ultimate Finish couldn't be simpler!
