How Ben Used Our Products
I have been using Auto Finesse products for a while now and finally got a DA to use with the revitalise polish kit! So I started off the detail with a nice thick Snow Foam, I used Auto Finesse avalanche with a squirt of Auto Finesse lather in it as well for extra suds! Left to dwell for nearly 10 minutes and then jet washed off, then I applied carpro TRIX over the entire car and left that to settle for 5 minutes while I prepared the 2 buckets for the hand wash! Instead of washing it off I applied a thin snow layer over the TRIX, left it for a few mins and then used the 2-bucket method to wash the car using Auto Finesse n lather and a lambs wool mitt.
I'm not concentrating on the wheels at this point as they are being refurbished in the next month or so! So they just had the regular soak with TRIX then after a few minutes cleaned with valet pro bilberry wheel cleaner and a selection of brushes! Once dried I seal them with Auto Finesse mint rims and buff off.
Once washed it was jet washed once more! Then I clayed the whole car using up the rest of the Dodo Juice Basics of Bling lube/clay combo I had left! Once clayed it was foamed once more and then rinsed with an open ended hose and dried with a chemical guys woolly mammoth drying towel including door shuts and boot shuts etc!
Once dried I began taping up all the plastics and panel gaps to minimise the dust distribution from the DA, once taped I sectioned off a small part of the rear quarter panel as a test patch, the swirls aren't seriously bad in most places so I decided I'd try no2 first with the no.2 pad and then use no.1 if I wasn't happy with the finish! Turned out only a few sections (mainly the roof, spoiler and bonnet) needed the harsher compound to get the swirl/scratch free finish! Wiped over with carpro eraser after each stage to remove excess polish and oils left behind! Once polishing was finished I then foamed the car and left it to dwell for 10 minutes to remove as much polish dust as possible! Rinsed and dried in the same manner as before!
I then applied Auto Finesse power seal by means of the DA and a finishing pad, and finished off the body work with a quick application of Gtechniq C2v3 for extra-long lasting shine and protection! The glass was cleaned with Auto Finesse crystal inside and out, the windscreen was polished with Gtechniq G4 and then sealed with 3 coats of G1 with roughly 10 minutes between coats :)
The door shuts were hand polished with Auto Finesse Tripple, and all plastics dressed with Auto Finesse revive! I soaked an old microfibre in AF obliterate and left that on the exhaust tip while I did various smaller bits and pieces and cleaned the glass, then I used #00 and #0000 grade wire wool and Auto Finesse mercury metal polish to clean both inside and outside of the tip and to bring the shine out of it :)
