How Paul Used Our Products

The Car, an Individual Scarab Green M5, has been owned for nearly a year, having done 2000 miles and tipping over 140k in total it was needing a good polish and seal before the winter comes in.

Car was first hoovered and interior surfaces prepped with Beezneez, Glass was then cleaned using Crystal brite and blue roll.

Leather cleansed using DodoJuice Supernatural Cleaner and then sealant of the same brand.

With around two weeks since its last wash, there was a thin layer of grime on the car, the surface wasn't too rough but water clung to the paint.

I started the exterior by applying Carbon Collective REACT fallout remover to the wheels, allowing 2 mins to dwell while applying APC to the rest of the vehicle surface before jet washing off.

Normally I use either Nielsen or Autoglym shampoo but in this case used Carbon Collective Lusso shampoo, foamed up well, not as obviously as the Nielsen shampoo but left a really nice finish, water running off before I had the chance to dry, leaving no dirt spots. Once the wheels were properly scrubbed the car was rinsed then dried off and Rainex window cleaner used to ensure the exterior glass was properly hydrophobic.

I have not continued to use Autoglym Wheel Protector as I struggled to coat an entire wheel with the spray can, when the wheel got dirty it was clean in patches with an urban camo look that I wasn't very keen on.

Car was then ready for the cutting stage, unlike my silver e46, this car didn't require any drastic clay bar treatment so I got into it with Autoglym Super Resin Polish, the surface of the paint was quite bad for light scratches, two layers of polish came up really well, focusing heavier on a couple of deeper scratches removed them. The plan was to have an expert use an orbital polisher but I'm satisfied my elbow grease got the job done.

Following the polish, I used Autoglym Rapid Detailer to cleanse the surface and make sure there was no polish left on the paint, at this point my arms were tiring and buffing this off before it dried was becoming quite a challenge.

The fun stage finally arrived with the application of Collonite 476s Super Double Coat wax, once u get a bit of heat into the wax it glides on, focusing an extra layer on the boot-lid, roof and bonnet, this wax creates a lovely mirror finish.

Finally the cars plastics and tyres were treated to Carbon Collective Sateen Rubber Protectant for a nice natural matte finish.

Normally, I hate when it rains after cleaning my car but this time I couldn't wait for our great Scottish weather to do its thing. The massive water beads sitting on the roof gave enough satisfaction to justify the 6-hour effort.
