Bilt-Hamber Auto-Foam is a premium quality, foaming pre-wash treatment, designed to soak and saturate soiled vehicle paintwork prior to the application of vehicle shampoo. Auto-Foam is gentle and can be used in conjunction with all pressure washer foam lances.

The creation of Auto-Foam was the result of considerable in-house research and development byt Bilt Hamber. Auto-Foam will further limit the likelihood of paintwork damage by providing you with stunningly clear FOD-free paint that is ready for future finishing.

It's pointless to spend money on expensive waxes and sealants to attain a beautiful finish if you don't get the basics right from the start. Because of poor detailing preparation and the impacts of Foreign Object Damage (FOD) on paint (such as 'own goal' damage from grit and dirt) that must be eliminated, most swirls and paint flaws must be rectified later in the process. Regardless of how cautious we all try to be, mistakes are made and harm is done. So it makes sense to be as meticulous and careful as possible from the start of the cleaning procedure, rather than simply at the finish.

Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam is a high-quality, foamy water-based pre-wash product that is designed to soak and penetrate dirty car paintwork before applying vehicle shampoo and paint protection. Auto-Foam is also mild and may be used with any pressure washer foam lance. Auto-Foam will panel-dwell for approximately five minutes when applied at a typical PIR (Panel Impact Ratio) of 4%. Auto Foam is designed to provide optimum soaking while also rinsing easily. It is not intended to be a just cosmetic high-foam product, but rather a useful material.

Auto-Foam is constructed of biodegradable components, is extremely tough on soil and grime, and is paint-safe. Because of the non-caustic formulation, even regular usage will not harm paint binders. Without the need for physical intervention, our hard-working surfactants will fight and penetrate the toughest road filth and grime.

During the panel-dwell period, Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam’s bubbles will systematically burst and move, encouraging our soaking and cleansing agents to start working. They negate the impacts of road filth by bonding within our surfactant blend and then lifting and physically removing it from painted surfaces, avoiding damage caused by swirling and marking during further detailing.

Good value for money and the first snow foam that I have ever used. After using others brands, I see now how "thin" this products is. I see both pros and cons of this, but in my opinion, it isn't as effective as a thicker snow foam. Not bad, but not good......I will not buy it again.

Excellent Non contact wash for winter months

BH Auto foam is my go to product for a contactless clean in winter months (remove road grime and salt). Using the BH Process to achieve the 4% PIR I use a mix of 450ml AF with 550ml water (this is specific to my set up). Vehicles doing motorway mileage through the worst winter conditions comes up great in just 20 mins. Combi van uses 300 ml of solution so around £0.55, BMW X5 around £0.80 of AF when bought in 5 ltrs. Not a perfect clean but good enough, just don't dry vehicle with a towel.

Expected better

I bought this snow foam only because there was an offer on. After reading favourable reviews and watching a few online videos that recommended it. To be fair I was expecting better. At my usual dilution ratio it just vanishes in no time at all and following rinsing off much of what would have been removed with my previous foam was still there. I doubled the ratio and it almost matches my previous foam. It does smell nice but I feel the foam needs to last a little longer, to enable going around the car with a soft bristle brush to get to all those difficult to reach places. My previous foam? Ultimate Snow Foam and that is what I will be buying in future/ Good try BH, but no cigar.

Power from PIR

The best cleaning power I’ve experienced from a snow foam. One thing with this product is it’s essential work out and use the correct Panel Impact Ratio. Makes a world of difference. My setup works out 800ml of product with 200ml water. Sounds like a lot but my washer outputs big litres per minute compared to most and I only need max 500ml from the lance to cover a car so I’m looking at approx 25 cars per 5L of Auto-Foam. This ends up working out more expensive than most foams out there but I can guarantee you most other foams do not perform like this one.

Love this!

Heard a great deal about this foam and couldn't wait to get my hands on it as it's not easy to get in local stores where I live. Even when winter is gone, that doesn't mean I can't get my car pretty dirty and this foam really lived up to my expectations. Really got it clean and got me doubting if a hand wash was needed. There are lots of foams out there but little actually make a difference and this one is proof that you don't need a really thick foam to have something that actually works. It's cheap to buy but I'm not sure if it's the best value for money. After calculating the PIR, I need 400 ml in my lance. Also heard some good things about UF Snow Foam. Maybe I'll try one of these next time.

Touchless is possible

I’ve had a foam lance for a few years now and been fairly sceptical about the whole thing. Sure, it looks cool, but the performance was disappointing using the typical high st products and I really balked at paying more than a fiver for, let’s be honest, it’s just a bit of soap right? Wrong. I have a new car. It’s black. I had a black car before and in the end it looked like a spider had taken drugs and a very small knife on it, which let me to thinking that if you can get as much off as possible before any sponge or mitt goes near it, you must be a good idea. The bottom line is that you do get what you pay for. BH recommend specific dilution rates which you can probably spend some time calculating and your flow rate, but I experimented and found the best results were half mix half water in a 1l bottle and then fiddle with the mix dial gave some amazing results. Frankly, it’s just not comparable with run of the mill stuff. I found that one coat, and leaving it (or ‘dwell time’) of about 5 mins and a single rinse got rid of almost all the film. Regularly used, you could almost consider not doing a proper wash. Worth every penny.

Bilt Hamber Snow foam

This is the first time I have used snow foam, bought this one because of the efficiency/quality of their wheel cleaning product. I found that the foam didn't stay on my Mercedes for long, probably 2 minutes at most, and didn't foam up like other product video's. After washing residue away followed by a regular wash the paintwork came back ok. I purchased a 5ltr pack, but judging by the small amount used it will last me for ever..If your going to buy this go for the 1ltr bottle. Will probable try "Ultimate" snow foam next time and listen to the people who have tested it.

Which Snowfoam?

I have used a number of Snow Foams over the years in my Karcher HDS Pressure Cleaner,with each and everyone proffessing to be the better than the other! I have most recently tried the latest addition to the Snow Foam products to hit the market and that is the Bilt Hamber Snow Foam. I have to report that it has a very favourable perfumed smell, unlike the "solvent" smelling norm for most other similar products. Bilt Hamber does dissolve most road traffic films and grime but it fails to produce a thick enough foam to dwell on the vehicle for more than 5 minutes. Based on my experience I have to agree with Auto Express and conclude that "Ultimate" Snow Foam is still the best on the market!
