They do different jobs. Snow foam removes grit and sand, while pre-wash loosens sticky grime on the lower half. A good rule: pre-wash the lower half and foam everything.

It won’t strip a healthy wax layer, but any cleaner will remove a layer that’s already worn out. For very sensitive finishes, try a pH-neutral snow foam.
