2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR Mclaren (C199) Coupe 5.4L Supercharged V8 finished in Crystal Galaxite Black Metallic.
Once the fastest automatic car in the world, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is a grand tourer that was jointly developed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Automotive and sold between 2003 and 2010. SLR is an abbreviation for “Sport Leicht Rennsport” (Sport Light Racing), a homage to the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR which served as the car’s inspiration.

Summary:
The vehicle appraisal revealed various defects in the Crystal Galaxite Black paintwork including fine scratches, numerous wash swirls and smears below the clear coat. Correction was carried out using a RUPES LHR 15ES and LHR 75ES Mini for the curved areas both with a combination of either Koch-Chemie H8.02 or F5.01 on Kamikaze Collection Banzai Dynamics Polishing Pads. Following correction the paintwork was refined using Menzerna Super Finish Plus 3800 on RUPES Ultra Fine Finishing Pads. Prior to the application of sealants, the paintwork, wheels and tyres were treated with Gtechniq Panel Wipe, a slow evaporation residue remover to eliminate any polish residues that if left in place would interfere with the bonding of the various coatings.
