This wax is excellent on alloy wheels. My new Mini Cooper has gloss black alloys which are so much easier to clean with two coats of this wax. I was very skeptical about how a wax would work on wheels. The difference is amazing, I haven't used any alloy wheel cleaner for weeks, just my usual car shampoo. Totally recommend this wax for alloy wheels as it's so easy to apply.
The most economical wax I have used

This wax is so easy to apply and buff off, as long as you remove it within 10 mins or less. Leaves a great gloss on solid colours. It beads really well and last for months and months. I'm half way though my bottle which I got 2 years ago so a little goes a long way. A perfect wax to protect your car over winter, 2 coats will last up to 6 months if not more.
Porsche Turbo Alloy Protection
by Chris M, 13 Aug 2013
I can't quite remember how but somewhere I was recommended to use Collinite 845 in my alloy wheels. My wheels are the 2 tone Porsche turbo alloys spec'd on a 997 Carrera s. I was told it would be durable and protect the wheels well from dirt and brake dust and it is working very well indeed. I wash the wheels with a Karcher pressure washer eco k4 on full but at a distance of about 20cm and then use valet pro bilberry wheel cleaner or the R222 wheel cleaner approved by Porsche. I give the wheels a good brush with various brushes and use a sponge to get them as clean as possible. If there is any brake dust left I use Iron-X in local areas for the really tough stuff. This normally leaves nothing behind except new looking alloys. Because I use all the chemicals my gut feeling is to reapply Collinite 845 although it would last a number of washes if I just used wheel soap. I give it a good shake and apply it using a Meguiar’s high tech applicator (soft foam) pad. Leave to dry. Buff off with a microfibre towel. The wheels will have a great finish and are protected. To try it out I went for a drive and braked hard to create plenty of brake dust. Using my calibrated finger smear test it was clear that the dust and dirt fell off as it was on my finger. After a few more days and then a few weeks the dirt and brake dust came off really easily. The pressure washer had no problem stripping the dust and dirt off leaving clean wheels 2-3 weeks later. It would probably last longer but I like to keep the car clean so I can't comment on what it would look like after a month or 2. Hope this helps you decide to buy it. As an Aerospace engineer myself, I usually find that anything for aero use tends to be pretty hard wearing and good quality. I'd certainly recommend giving it a go. I've never used it on the body of the car purely because I use other products from UF. Cheers!

This polish is very easy to use and goes a long way. Buffs great on my red car to give a deep gloss finish. Havent seen it`s beading qualities as we are currently experiencing a heat wave!

A five star product

I've used a lot of polishes over the years and to date, this is by far the best ever polish. It goes on easy with a cloth or sponge applicator, and just before it gets to a haze, lightly rub it off to a very high gloss finish. There is no white residue to worry about, and it is fantastic on alloy wheels!then watch the water bead off your car as it rains, you will not be disapointed with this product!
