Brand · Water Filtration

Pure water. Spot-free finish.

Aqua Gleam water filters take the minerals out of your tap water, so the final rinse dries without leaving white water spots on paint, glass or chrome. Attach one to your hose, rinse and let the car dry. There’s less towel contact, which means fewer chances to add swirl marks.

Why tap water leaves spots

Ordinary tap water carries dissolved minerals. When it evaporates on your car, those minerals stay behind as white spots that dull the finish and, if left, can etch into the lacquer. A pure water final rinse is the simplest way to stop it.

How Aqua Gleam works

Aqua Gleam filters use an organic de-ionising media to strip impurities from the water, bringing total dissolved solids (TDS) down to 30ppm or right down to 0ppm. Rinse the car with filtered water and it dries without leaving anything behind.

Easy to use

The filters connect to standard hose fittings, so they slot straight into your wash routine. Use them for the final rinse only, after the shampoo stage.

Aqua Gleam FAQs

The 0ppm filter removes impurities down to 0 parts per million, the 30ppm down to 30. The 30ppm media is harder wearing and lasts longer, so it suits very hard water areas. Choose 0ppm if you want every impurity removed, for example on soft black paint or in soft water areas.

The 12 inch suits most car owners and is easier to handle. The 30 inch lasts around 2.5 times as long without costing 2.5 times as much, so it’s better value for multiple cars or regular use.

It depends on your water hardness. Most people use 8–10 litres per rinse. As a guide (0ppm / 30ppm):

  • Small, soft water: 480L / 560L
  • Small, medium water: 248L / 288L
  • Small, hard water: 160L / 200L
  • Large, soft water: 1200L / 1400L
  • Large, medium water: 620L / 720L
  • Large, hard water: 400L / 500L

No. Once you add shampoo the water isn’t pure any more, so use Aqua Gleam for the final rinse only.

Not directly, but because you don’t need to towel dry, you avoid the most common way swirls are added. A car dryer is handy for water trapped in mirrors and trim.

The media changes colour as it absorbs impurities, and you’ll see a line working its way up the filter. Near the end of its life you may notice the odd spot. Even when spent, it still filters out larger sediment.
