How Lex Used Our Products
I purchase my Mini Cooper S JCW in January 2009 from a local BMW Mini dealer in Essex, it was in mint condition for it's age with only 24,000 miles on the clock.
I started to modify it with my own personal touches consisting of main carbon fibre accessories inside & out, coilovers & an Alpine stereo system to replace all of the standard parts. I also have carried out some engine modifications on top of the JCW upgrade kit such as a Miltek stainless steel 4 branch manifold, ITG air filter and reduced supercharger pulley.
I wash and clean my Mini every weekend, which amuses my neighbours!, using the 2 bucket method.... 1 bucket with the water & shampoo and another bucket with clean water to rinse the wash mit between each dip into the shampoo bucket. This ensures that any dirt & grit is left in the clean water bucket and not mixed up withthe shampoo to be wiped back over the bdywork. My weekly wash routine involves using Dodo Juice Born to Be Mild shampoo, Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite to lay down a preparation layer before applying a coat of Dodo Juice Hard Candy wax. I clean the wheels and brake calipers using Meguiars All Wheel Cleaner & a small wheel brush to get into the hard to reach areas. Then I apply a coat of Auto Glym Alloy Wheel Sealant to protect against brake dust, followed by a coat of Meguiars Tyre Gel.
Once a month I carry out a full clean using the Meguiars Clay Bar system, all of the above again but with a layer of Auto Glym Super Resin Polish prior to the layer of Dodo Juice Hard Candy wax.
In all it takes me approx 4 to 5 hours to clean my Mini but she's worth it.
